Wow! What a fantastic night we had on Saturday 16th June at our Peaky Bash! Walking past the flaming lanterns, the stunning vintage car and beautiful shire horse, through the entrance to the sound of Dominic Holmes Hot 4’s Jazz Band took you straight back to the 1920’s!
Once inside guests could explore the Gin Bar down in ‘The Vaults’ where Brian was on hand to advise on this quintessential British tipple, whilst enjoying stunning canapes provided by the talented Monika at Cater Me Tasty, all the while keeping a look out for the criminals depicted on the Wanted posters dotted around the building!
We were then treated to the beautiful voice of Ellie Butler whilst sampling some of the delicious cocktails such as ‘Red Right Hand’ or ‘Grace’s Secret’ and placing our bets for the evening’s race meet in aid of The Health Tree Foundation’s Maternity Bereavement Suite Appeal, for which we raised a fantastic £305!
Next we enjoyed a generous Hog Roast, again provided by Cater Me Tasty before learning how to dance like the flappers to the serene sounds of Dapper and The Dame.
